Hayward Promise Neighborhoods Programs

Hayward Promise Neighborhoods is a collective effort to maximize existing assets in the neighborhoods so that all children, families, and community members have access to equitable opportunities along with a cradle to career continuum of services and supports.

These services and supports include the areas of educational success, physical and social-emotional health, and a safe and sustainable thriving community.

Cal State Âé¶¹ÃÛÌÒAV Initiatives

  • Student Mentors and Volunteers

    • In partnership with College Corps, CSU Âé¶¹ÃÛÌÒAV students serve as mentors and tutors providing academic and post-secondary support to Hayward Promise Neighborhoods elementary, middle, and high school students in-class and after-school.
    • Students ages high school and up also participate in a variety of volunteer service projects throughout the Hayward community.

     

  • Foods Access

    • HPN and our partners have worked together to bring different food opportunities to Hayward residents to help alleviate food insecurities.

  • Attendance Supports

    Positive Attendance Care Team (PACT)

    • In partnership with Alameda County Office of Education, 4Cs of Alameda, and CSU Âé¶¹ÃÛÌÒAV Students, we provide attendance case management to families who struggle with chronic absenteeism, while also working with schools to implement continuous improvement protocols at the site level.
